Jan. 9--MR. BLACKWELL's 48th annual worst-dressed list is out and the No. 1 fashion atrocity for the year is (drumroll) Posh Spice.

"Forget the fashion spice," Blackwell wrote, "wearing a skirt would suffice! In one skinny-mini monstrosity after another, pouty Posh can really wreck-'em," he wrote in a statement.

It was back in 1998 that the fashionista fashionasty listed all five Spice Girls as worst of the worst, calling them "the only spices on the planet that have no taste."

The top 10 (or bottom 10 as the case may be) also includes:

Amy Winehouse -- "Exploding beehives above, tacky polka-dots below, she's part '50s carhop horror."

Mary-Kate Olsen -- "She resembles a tattered toothpick -- trapped in a hurricane."

Fergie -- "Yes, when it comes to couture chaos, guess it's all in a name!"

Kelly Clarkson, Eva Green, Avril Lavigne, Jessica Simpson, Lindsay Lohan and Alison Arngrim round out the list.

Blackwell also released a Fabulous Fashion Independents list of women who actually pick clothes with their eyes open. That group includes

Reese Witherspoon

, Jemima Khan, Beyonce, Angelina Jolie, Helen Mirren, Nicole Kidman, Katie Holmes, Kate Middleton, Katherine Heigl and Cate Blanchett.

Britney Spears, a perennial on the worst-dressed list, is missing this year. Blackwell thought it would just be piling on.

--Speaking of Spears -- and a day without Britney is like a day without sun poisoning -- her Mercedes-Benz was impounded in Los Angeles after it was abandoned on the street.

Given the way things have been going for Spears, that's a lot better than finding her abandoned on the street.

Police said Brit got a flat while driving sometime before 8 p.m. Monday on Sunset Boulevard sometime near

UCLA.

That's a school, Britney.

"She left it unattended and it was blocking traffic, so it was towed," Officer Karen Smith, a police spokeswoman, said yesterday.

The vehicle was taken to Quicksilver Towing, where an employee who answered the phone yesterday said he didn't know if it was still there.

"We had several Mercedes towed last night," he said, adding that storage charges are $35.20 a day.

Tattbits

--Some pseudo-celebs whose sexual antics are immortalized on poorly lit videos, shy away from the tapes, making claims the films were stolen or only for personal use.

But not classy "Long Island Lolita" Amy Fisher and her soulmate hubby, Lou Bellera.

The couple must be proud of their work on Red Light District's "Amy Fisher Caught on Tape" because they're promoting it at AVN's Adult Entertainment Expo, now through Sunday in Las Vegas.

Fisher, as you may recall, got infamous as a teenager when she shot her adult lover's wife in the face.

--The Directors Guild

of America, which isn't on strike . . . yet, announced its best-director nominees yesterday.

They are Sean Penn for "Into the Wild," Joel and Ethan Coen for "No Country for Old Men," Paul Thomas Anderson for "There Will Be Blood," Tony Gilroy for "Michael Clayton" and Julian Schnabel for "The Diving Bell and the Butterfly."

Except for Joel Coen, previously nominated for "Fargo," the guild choices all were first-time nominees.

Throughout the 60-year history of the guild honors, the winner almost always has gone on to win the best-directing prize at the Academy Awards, including last year's recipient, Martin Scorsese for "The Departed."

The winner will be announced at a dinner Jan. 26, four days after Oscar nominations come out. The Oscars are scheduled for Feb. 24.

--Tattle, who told you three months ago that "Juno" ($50 million+ and counting) was going to be a big hit, is pleased to inform you that writer Diablo Cody's next film is close to having a director.

The Hollywood Reporter says Karyn Kusama ("Girlfight," "Aeon Flux") is in negotiations to direct "Jennifer's Body," a comedic horror movie that will be produced by "Juno" director Jason Reitman.

Megan Fox is attached to star, playing a demonic cheerleader with an appetite (literally) for teenage boys.

Shooting starts in March in Vancouver.

--Britain's Royal Mail yesterday issued a set of stamps commemorating James Bond to mark 100 years since the birth of his creator, Ian Fleming.

The six stamps feature the original cover artwork of Bond thrillers including "Dr. No," "Goldfinger," "Diamonds Are Forever" and "From Russia With Love." They come in a variety of denominations for both domestic and overseas use.

Memo from Q: Don't lick the stamps.
